Modulation

Modulation
Modulation is the process of varying one or more properties of periodic waveform.

Procedure For Use Radio Waves to Communicate
1. Capture the sound wave and converted into electronic signal.
2. Electronic signal combines with carrier wave and send to  towers.
3. Electronic signal separate with carrier wave and play receiver side.

Frequency Modulation
1. In frequency modulation, the amplitude and phase of the carrier wave remains constant. Only frequency of the carrier wave is changed in accordance with the signal.
2. Carrier signal carry the modulating sine wave.
3. Frequency modulated signal is the combination of modulating sine wave and carrier signal.
4. Frequency modulation range restricted to 50 km.
5. Voise is good at receiver end.

Amplitude Modulation
1. In amplitude modulation, the frequency and phase of the carrier wave remains constant. Only amplitude of the carrier wave is changed in accordance with the signal.
2. Carrier signal carry the modulating sine wave.
3. Amplitude modulated signal is the combination of modulating sine wave and carrier signal.
4. Amplitude modulation wider area coverage.
5. Voise is poor at receiver end.
