Parity Bit

1. Parity bit uses to check data has been transmitted accurately.
2. Parity bit added to every data unit that is transmitted.
3. It detects only single bit error.
4. Parity is classified into two types, even parity and odd parity.

Even Parity 
1. Parity bit is added to the transmitted binary code, then total ones in transmitted binary code includes parity bit is even is called even parity.
2. Due to noise disturbance(error) even parity converted into odd parity.

Odd Parity

Advantages
1. Errors on a noisy line can be find quickly.

Disadvantages
1. Not able to correct the error data.
2. Not capable for finding all errors.
